Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at the University of Wisconsin and eligible for the Work Study Program.
• Demonstrate competent tutorial skills in K-5 curriculum.
• Demonstrate mature judgment in student behavior management strategies.
• Demonstrate ability to establish and maintain rapport and communicate with students and staff.
• Demonstrate ability to motivate children and build self-esteem.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tutoring services to individual students or small groups as directed by staff.
• Assist in developing strategies to reinforce learning and individualize instruction.
• Instruct students on operation and care of tutoring materials and equipment.
• Assist in classroom/library activities as needed by staff.
• Monitor progress and participate in student assessments as directed.
