Job summary

Orchard Farm School District is seeking a Reading Interventionist Paraprofessional to support students in a small-group setting and assist with supervision across settings. The role requires collaboration with teachers, confidentiality, and responsiveness to IEPs under guidance.

Starting rates are $25.00-$28.14 depending on experience. The position is a 9-month school year, Monday through Friday, with ongoing professional development and staff collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher, required.
• Must hold a teaching certificate, active or expired, able to obtain active substitute certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take direction from teachers.
• Patience, empathy, and genuine interest in supporting student learning and development.
• Proficiency in using technology and educational software.
• Basic understanding of child development and educational practices.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Background check clearance as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist students according to individual needs in a small group setting.
• Assist student supervision across all settings.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members to plan for and monitor instruction.
• Maintain confidentiality of information about children and families per policy and law.
• Support students with special needs by implementing IEPs under teacher guidance.
• Participate in staff development, faculty meetings, and special events when requested.
• Follow instructions from teachers and administrators.
