Qualifications

  • Must hold a collegiate professional license or postgraduate license with an Elementary Education PreK-6 endorsement.
  • Ability to analyze data at multiple levels to tailor instruction and improve performance.
  • Knowledge of child development, small-group strategies, and literacy pedagogy.
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provides small group instruction for grades K-2, with opportunities for 3-5.
  • Conducts monthly intervention professional development and reports progress data.
  • Works with SBlT to identify students needing Tier III interventions.
  • Implements Tier III literacy interventions using evidence-based methods.
  • Documents interventions and progress; communicates with families about progress.
  • Supports school leadership in monitoring each student’s progress.
