Job summary

TrulyHired in partnership with Horry County Schools is seeking a Teacher - Reading Interventionist to provide high-level literacy experiences for struggling readers and implement district Tier II/III programs.

Responsibilities include delivering focused reading intervention, assessing progress, maintaining records, and collaborating with staff and parents to support student achievement in reading.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• SC state certification as required for the specified assignments.
• K-5 Interventionist must be state certified in Elementary/Reading.
• Middle School Interventionists must be state certified in Elementary/Reading or Middle Level ELA.
• High School Interventionists must be state certified in Secondary English.

Responsibilities

• Implement with fidelity the assigned program of study and Tier II/III literacy support.
• Deliver focused reading intervention instruction and monitor progress.
• Use supplemental materials to provide Tier II/III support and set learning objectives.
• Administer and interpret assessments to identify needs and track progress.
• Maintain records of student progress and communicate with staff and guardians.
• Manage behavior and participate in department and district meetings.
