Job summary

Horry County Schools seeks a Reading Interventionist to provide focused literacy instruction for struggling readers in a 4-hour daily role, 190-day calendar.

You will implement district Tier II/III programs, assess progress, communicate with families, and participate in professional development.

Bachelor’s degree and state certification required; experience with reading intervention preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college.
• SC Certification requirements for Interventionist per the district.
• Experience with Tier II/III literacy interventions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level literacy experiences to struggling readers.
• Deliver Tier II or III literacy intervention instruction.
• Assess progress and adjust instruction based on data.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and development.
• Collaborate with staff and parents to support student learning.
