Job summary

Montgomery Public Schools seeks an Interventionist to ensure grade-level reading by third grade through targeted, dyslexia-specific interventions based on diagnostic data.

They collaborate with classroom teachers, reading specialists, and administrators to align reading strategies and support SRIPs, delivering structured, multisensory language instruction in small groups, four to five days a week for 45–60 minutes.

Qualifications

• Professional certificate in Early Childhood (P-3), Elementary Education (K-6) or Special Education Collaborative (K-6).
• Master’s degree with LETRS early childhood and/or LETRS K-12 mastery.
• Minimum three years of successful teaching experience in grades P-5.
• Experience providing targeted intervention using a dyslexia-specific program.
• Fingerprint clearance prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prescriptive, multisensory language instruction in small groups four to five days a week for 45–60 minutes.
• Use diagnostic data to identify students needing dyslexia-specific intervention and plan SRIPs.
• Collaborate with teachers, reading specialists, and administrators to align strategies.
• Participate in MSLE training and universal screeners; monitor progress and adjust instruction.
• Support summer reading camp and ensure training for K–3 staff in dyslexia awareness.
