Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a dedicated Reading Specialist/ELD Teacher to support English language development and literacy interventions. The role includes MTSS data analysis, targeted interventions, and collaboration with teachers, specialists, and administrators to meet diverse academic needs.

You will determine students' instructional reading levels, group students for small-group instruction, and provide professional development to staff on literacy instruction, ELD, differentiation, and assessment

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of MTSS/RTI processes.
• Ability to analyze assessment data and tailor interventions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver standards-aligned ELD and literacy instruction for diverse learners.
• Collaborate with Principal, teachers, specialists, and support staff in RTI/MTSS design and implementation.
• Analyze assessment data to identify instructional needs and develop targeted interventions.
• Monitor progress and adjust instructional plans based on student data.
• Determine instructional reading levels and appropriate small-group grouping.
• Provide consultation, professional development, and support for literacy instruction and differentiation.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate progress to families.
