Job summary

Sylvania's Red Hill Elementary School seeks a Special Education Student Support Specialist to provide instructional and academic support to students with moderate/mild needs, with a focus on English Language Learners. Collaborate with teachers to adapt instruction and promote inclusive learning aligned with district standards.

Responsibilities include assessment, progress monitoring, behavior support, and collaboration with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Valid Colorado teaching license or substitute authorization is required.
• Experience with students with disabilities and/or English Language Learners preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support instructional and academic needs of students in collaboration with classroom teachers.
• Adapt instructional materials to meet diverse learner needs and reinforce concepts.
• Provide targeted support for English Language Learners in content areas.
• Assist in assessing student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
• Promote a positive, structured learning environment and manage behavior.
• Collaborate with staff, families, and administrators while maintaining confidentiality.
