Title: Readiness Assessment Consultant / Architect

Location: Salem, OR - REMOTE

Duration: 24 months Contract

Role Description: We are seeking a consultant to conduct a readiness assessment to evaluate our client’s preparedness to design, build, and maintain a secure, robust, moderately complex application in-house. The assessment should analyze the capabilities of our IT department—including staffing, architecture, platform, development approach, and governance processes—and identify risks, gaps, and areas for improvement. The consultant will deliver findings, recommendations, and a roadmap to ensure a successful in-house build.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Experience in performing and providing readiness assessments for in-house system builds.
2. Deep expertise across the full software development lifecycle, especially within the Microsoft technology stack (e.g., .NET, Azure, SQL Server).
3. Advanced proficiency in full-stack development, software architecture, and system design, with documentation at logical and physical levels.
4. Strong understanding of software security best practices.
5. Experience designing robust applications aligned with organizational standards for performance, maintainability, and compliance.
