Description

Lume Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Technical Architect consultant to support oversight and coordination of Stage 3 and Stage 4 activities within the California Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL).

The Senior Technical Architect will play a critical role in guiding these activities, ensuring technical feasibility, system integration readiness, and successful transition into implementation.

Responsibilities

Technical Architect

Serves as the technical Architect Lead for designing and validating architecture solutions aligned with business goals. Responsibilities include developing technical models and diagrams (e.g., UML, sequence diagrams), contributing to solution selection, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, and supporting infrastructure planning for cloud, on-premises, or hybrid environments. Experience with end-to-end architecture planning in complex government or regulatory environments is required.

Qualifications
  • 8 years of experience in systems development, analysis, programming, or testing – 10 years preferred
  • 7 years of experience in requirements development and analysis, including elicitation techniques, use case development, and user story mapping. Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and testable requirements documents and specifications – 9 years preferred
  • 7 years of experience in documenting complex software systems, including creating sequence diagrams, activity diagrams, process flows, and other architectural artifacts – 9 years preferred
  • 2 years of experience in working with the California Department of Technology (CDT) Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) process, specifically Stages 3 and 4.
