Job summary

Firefly New Media LTD is seeking an Editorial Trust and Contributor Support Officer to work remotely from the UK. You will welcome new writers, verify claims and sources, and help scale our editorial tools with simple guides and short how-to videos.

This fixed-term contract runs 1 November 2026 to 19 March 2027, with a salary of £1,600–£1,740 per month and 28 days of pro-rata holiday, plus a workplace pension.

Editorial Trust and Contributor Support Officer (Part-time, Remote)

Every story on Firefly's 130+ local magazines is written by someone in the community, and every one is checked by a person before it goes live. That person is you. Half helpdesk, half standards editor: welcome every first-time writer, keep every story honest, and be the human check on the tools that help us do it at scale.

You will help contributors publish their first stories (replying within a working day), check claims, sources and permissions before anything goes live, sign off everything our new tools touch so a person approves every story, and write simple guides and short how-to videos.

Pay 1,600 to 1,740 pounds a month for 14 days a month, depending on experience (full-time equivalent about 30,000 to 32,600 pounds), plus 28 days holiday a year pro rata including bank holidays, and a workplace pension. Remote, UK. Fixed-term employed, 1 November 2026 to 19 March 2027, start date by agreement.
