Job summary

Somerset Skills & Learning in Taunton is seeking a Tutor to support young people aged 16 to 25 with an EHCP. You will provide personalised one-to-one and small-group support, helping learners build confidence, develop skills and plan next steps in education or employment.

This permanent, full-time role offers hybrid working with two days remote and a collaborative environment with SEND colleagues and advocates committed to empowering learners and removing barriers.

Are you passionate about helping young people overcome barriers and achieve their potential?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and learner-focused Tutor to join our team and deliver an exciting project working with young people aged 16 to 25 with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). You will provide personalised support on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, helping learners build confidence, develop skills and prepare for their next steps in education, training or employment.

This is a highly rewarding role where no two days are the same. Delivery will be flexible and tailored to the interests, aspirations and needs of each individual learner. You will work closely with advocates, the SEND team and other professionals to create engaging learning experiences that break down barriers and support positive progression.
