Job summary

McCarthy & Stone is seeking a part-time Care Assistant at Stiperstones Court, Shrewsbury. Work is in one central location with no travel between calls and a supportive on-site team to help residents stay independent and engaged.

You will assist with daily tasks, support wellbeing activities, and contribute to a caring, respectful environment for older adults. The role offers funded training, pension and life insurance, and well-being support.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year in a UK health and social care role preferred.
  • Level 2 QCF in Health and Social Care (Adults) is a plus, but not essential.
  • Caring, dependable and passionate about supporting older adults.

Responsibilities

  • Support residents with daily domestic tasks like appointments, light cleaning, laundry and shopping.
  • Assist with social activities and wellbeing routines.
  • Promote independence, dignity and community engagement.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Supporting residents with daily domestic tasks like appointments, light cleaning, laundry and shopping

Who We’re Looking For:

Experience: 1+ year in a UK health and social care role preferred,

Location: Living within commuting distance of the development.
