Job summary

Serco Limited is recruiting a part-time Cleaner in Shrewsbury to help maintain clean, safe and welcoming facilities for customers and staff. You will follow health and safety procedures and schedules to ensure spaces remain in excellent condition and inviting for the local community.

The role supports active community access to leisure facilities and offers flexible hours, DBS checks, and various employee benefits through Shropshire Leisure Trust.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar cleaning role is desirable but not essential.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to understand and follow basic health and safety guidance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across designated areas, following agreed schedules and specifications
• Deliver consistent, friendly service to customers and Local Authority clients
• Follow all health and safety procedures to support a strong safety culture
• Work flexibly as part of a team to meet operational needs
• Keep accurate basic records such as timesheets, absence logs or discrepancy reports
• Help create a positive experience for everyone using the facility
