Job summary

Keys Care provides safe, supportive homes for adults with brain injuries, autism, and learning disabilities. As a Support Worker you will assist with daily routines, promote independence and help with personal care and生活 chores.

You will accompany individuals to appointments, support budgeting and shopping, and help develop life skills through activities. The role includes a paid induction, Enhanced DBS, generous annual leave, and a workplace pension.

Qualifications

  • Experience in health and social care is preferred.
  • Must be over 18 due to the vulnerable nature of the people supported.
  • Willing to undergo Enhanced DBS check.

  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.

Please note we require a Male Support Worker over the age of 18 due to a genuine occupational requirement for the people we are supporting making this position exempt from the gender discrimination rule.

About Evergreen:

At Evergreen, we support individuals with Acquired Brain Injuries, Autism, and Learning Disabilities. Our aim is to encourage independence and help people to engage with the community and participate in everyday activities.

We currently support five individuals at this service. The people we support are largely independent and mainly require prompting, encouragement, and guidance to achieve their daily goals.

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including:

  • Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
  • Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care as required.
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
  • Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
