Job summary

The National Autistic Society is seeking a compassionate Support Worker for Community Services Somerset. You will help residents live their best lives by following personalised support plans and daily routines, in a 6-house service supporting 13 people in Somerset.

Role requires flexibility, full-time 37.5 hours weekly, with evenings and weekends. Driving licence preferred; DBS checks required for safeguarding. NAS offers extensive benefits and dedicated autism training.

About the Role

We are looking for caring and reliable Support Workers. Your role is to help people live their best lives by following their support plans and daily routines.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, eating)
  • Encourage activities they enjoy (swimming, hiking, arts & crafts)

What We’re Looking For

  • For you to inspire others with a positive attitude towards supporting vulnerable people
  • Experience with autistic people is helpful but not essential
  • Personal experience or a passion for helping others is welcome

This advert is for a full-time position at 37.5 hours per week.

Your working pattern in this role will require flexibility to meet the needs of the people supported and their families and will include evening and weekend working.

Possession of a driving licence (minimum one year) ispreferred.
