Job summary

Enable Scotland is seeking Personal Assistants to support Joe in Livingston. This part-time role offers around 30 hours per week with flexible shifts including 9am overnight support, 9am-9pm, 9am-5pm, and 2pm-9pm at £13.45 per hour.

You will help with daily living tasks, personal care, moving and handling where needed, and activities that promote independence. Join an award-winning social care charity and work with a bespoke team to ensure Joe’s safety, wellbeing and aspirations are met.

We are three men looking for personal supporters to work in the West Lothian area, to provide flexible, personalised support to enable us to lead an independent life. We each have our own unique personalities.

I am outgoing, know my own mind, I like to have a good laugh and banter with others. I enjoy a variety of sports, including Boccia, and I like going out for drives in the car. The other gentleman are quiet, very active, enjoys playing computer games, socialising with others, dancing, bowling and indoor curling.

Duties will include supporting us within our own home and day to day activities that we like to participate in. We require support to maintain our tenancy agreement, ensuring the house is kept clean and tidy to a high standard, we also require assistance with gardening, cooking and money management.

Personal care tasks are also required. We enjoy many activities and are very active! These include bowling, going out for lunch, indoor curling, tea-dances, watching shows, going to the cinema, supporting friendships. We also like many indoor activities including dominos, arts and crafts, and scrapbooking. Support will also be required when we go on our individual holidays throughout the year. You need to be patient, with good communication skills and a sense of fun.
