Job summary

REACH, part of Global Medical Response, is recruiting a Helicopter Air Ambulance pilot for a full-time position in Steamboat, Colorado. You will join a team ensuring safe transport of patients and tight adherence to regulatory and company procedures.

The role requires FAA rotorcraft certification, instrument rating, and significant flight hours, with a supportive path including training and ongoing certifications. This is a full-time on-site opportunity with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate required.
• Helicopter instrument rating required.
• Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate.
• 2,000 Total Flight Hours.
• 2,000 Helicopter Hours.
• 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours.
• 1000 Turbine Helicopter Hours.
• 200 helicopter night hours (aided or unaided).
• 230 pound weight limit with flight gear.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of medical experts to transport customers safely.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatch per manuals and FAR/REACH requirements.
• Maintain REACH regulatory documentation and records.
• Communicate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Provide shift change info to successor pilot per protocol.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.

Incentives

• $106,511 - $117,162 Salary including 20% Geo Modifier
• 15K Sign on Bonus, subject to eligibility
• Retention Bonus Plans ($40,000 after 3 years, plus additional retention bonuses once completed)
• On Duty Housing (for select locations)
• 7 Days On and 7 Days Off Schedule

Responsibilities

• Working with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and REACH requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties
• Maintain accurate REACH and regulatory documentation and record keeping
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
• Provide shift change info to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording A REACH change board details
• Accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training
