Rural Metro Fire Department currently seeks a Helicopter Air Ambulance (HAA) pilot for a full-time opportunity in Steamboat, Colorado. You will join a medical air transport team delivering critical care, with responsibilities spanning aircraft readiness, flight dispatch, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 2,000 total flight hours, rotorcraft FAA commercial certificate, helicopter instrument rating, and a current FAA medical certificate.

Qualifications

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate.
• Helicopter instrument rating.
• Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate.
• 2,000 Total Flight Hours.
• 2,000 Helicopter Hours.
• 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours.
• 1000 Turbine Helicopter Hours.
• 200 helicopter night hours with/without gear.
• 230 lb weight limit with flight gear.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport customers with a team of medical experts.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches and comply with FAR/REACH requirements and aircraft cleanliness duties.
• Maintain REACH and regulatory documentation and record keeping.
• Communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Provide shift-change info to subsequent pilot and team; record REACH change board details.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.
