Job summary

REACH, part of Global Medical Response, is hiring a full-time HAA Pilot in California to provide medical air transport. The role includes ensuring aircraft readiness, coordinating with dispatch and flight crews, and maintaining regulatory documentation.

A strong emphasis is placed on safety and ongoing training. Minimum qualifications include current rotorcraft FAA commercial certificate, helicopter instrument rating, and required medical certification, along with substantial flight hours.

Qualifications

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate is required.
• Helicopter instrument rating is required.
• Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate is required.
• Total flight hours: 2,000.
• Helicopter hours: 1,500.
• Helicopter PIC hours: 1,000.
• Turbine helicopter hours: 500.
• Night flying: 100 hours unaided or 50 unaided +100 aided.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport customers with a team of medical experts.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatch per manuals and FAR/REACH rules.
• Maintain REACH and regulatory documentation and records.
• Communicate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Provide shift change information to the next pilot per protocol.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.

Incentives

• Salary Range: $115,387 - $126,926; 30% Geographic Modifier
• 15K Sign-On Bonus, subject to eligibility
• Retention Bonus plans ($40,000 after 3 years plus additional retention bonuses once completed)

• 7/7 Schedule

Responsibilities

• Working with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and REACH requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties
• Maintain accurate REACH and regulatory documentation and record keeping
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
• Provide shift change info to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording A REACH change board details
• Accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training

Minimum Requirements

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate
• Helicopter instrument rating
• Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate
• 2,000 Total Flight Hours
• 1,500 Helicopter Hours
• 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours
• 500 Turbine Helicopter Hours
• 100 Hours Night Unaided, or 50 Hours Unaided with 100 Hours Aided
• 230 pound weight limit with flight gear

Preferred Qualifications

• AS350/H125 Aircraft Experience
• High School Diploma/Equivalent or Higher
