Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Culpeper, VA is seeking a Behavior Technician I to support adults with IDD/BH in our ATH home. This part-time role (Fri, Sat, Sun 7am-3pm) focuses on therapeutic activities, daily living skills, and crisis prevention under the REACH program.

You will work with care providers and families, receive training including CPR/First Aid, and be eligible for benefits such as Life and Disability Insurance, retirement plan, EAP, and PSLF qualifying employer.

Qualifications

• Experience working with IDD/BH disorders required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Service field or High School Diploma.
• Maintain valid state appropriate driver’s license and auto insurance for work vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily programs and rehabilitative activities.
• Provide therapeutic interventions and assist with personal care.
• Collaborate with participants’ primary care providers, community crisis services, and families.

Part-Time: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday (7am-3pm)

Your Role in Our Mission

As a Behavior Technician I (BT), your days will be spent equipping individuals with the tools, coping skills and support to prevent hospitalization and crisis. Responsibilities include facilitating daily programs and rehabilitative activities, providing therapeutic interventions, and assisting with personal care. As a member of the REACH team, you will work closely with participants’ primary care providers, community crisis services, and families to ensure comprehensive support for those referred to the home.
