Easterseals PORT Health in Culpeper, VA is hiring a Behavior Technician II to support individuals with IDD and mental health challenges in our Youth Crisis Therapeutic Home.

You will implement daily programs, deliver therapeutic interventions, and coordinate with families and care providers to ensure comprehensive support for referred participants.

Qualifications

• Experience working with IDD and behavioral health disorders is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Service field or QMHP trainee status is required/acceptable.
• Must hold a valid state driver’s license and auto insurance for agency vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Implement daily programs and rehabilitative activities for participants.
• Provide therapeutic interventions and support to prevent hospitalization or crisis.
• Coordinate with participants' primary care providers, crisis services, and families.
• Assist with personal care as needed.

Part-Time: Saturday & Sunday 7a-7pm

Your Role in Our Mission

As a Behavior Technician II (BT), your days will be spent equipping individuals with the tools, coping skills and support to prevent hospitalization and crisis. Responsibilities include facilitating daily programs and rehabilitative activities, providing therapeutic interventions, and assisting with personal care. As a member of the REACH team, you will work closely with participants' primary care providers, community crisis services, and families to ensure comprehensive support for those referred to the home.

• Competitive Rate: $21 - $24 / hr based on experience
• Paid training: CPR / first-aid, Mindset, Medication Administration, Infectious Disease, Seizure Management, and QMHP-T supervision!

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with IDD/Behavioral Health (BH) disorders required
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Service field of study, or QMHP (trainee), or
• The ability to register as a Qualified Mental Health Professional Trainee and be approved within 30 days of hire
• Maintain valid state appropriate driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work
