Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Behavior Technician II to support individuals with IDD/BH in the Youth Crisis Therapeutic Home in Culpeper, VA. The role involves facilitating daily programs, delivering therapeutic interventions, and assisting with personal care under QMHP supervision.

Part-time weekend schedule available (Saturday and Sunday, 7am–7pm). Benefits include full benefits, paid training, and sign-on/retention bonuses for eligible positions.

Qualifications

• Experience working with IDD/BH disorders is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Service field or QMHP (trainee) is required.
• Ability to register as a QMHP Trainee and be approved within 30 days of hire.
• Maintain valid state driver’s license and auto insurance for work vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily programs and rehabilitative activities.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to participants.
• Assist with personal care as needed.
• Collaborate with the REACH team, participants’ PCPs, crisis services, and families to ensure comprehensive support.

Your Role in Our Mission

As a Behavior Technician II (BT), your days will be spent equipping individuals with the tools, coping skills and support to prevent hospitalization and crisis. Responsibilities include facilitating daily programs and rehabilitative activities, providing therapeutic interventions, and assisting with personal care. As a member of the REACH team, you will work closely with participants' primary care providers, community crisis services, and families to ensure comprehensive support for those referred to the home.

• Competitive Rate: $21 - $24 / hr based on experience
• Paid training: CPR / first-aid, Mindset, Medication Administration, Infectious Disease, Seizure Management, and QMHP-T supervision!

What We're Looking For

• Experience working with IDD/Behavioral Health (BH) disorders required
• Bachelor's degree in Human Service field of study, or QMHP (trainee), or
• The ability to register as a Qualified Mental Health Professional Trainee and be approved within 30 days of hire
• Maintain valid state appropriate driver's license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work
