Job summary

Petaluma Modern Dentistry, part of Pacific Dental Services, LLC, seeks a Registered Dental Assistant. You will support the dentist with treatment, educate patients with intra-oral imagery, and help maintain a clean, welcoming operatory.

The role emphasizes chair-side skills, x-ray duties, patient education, and adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines. AGED/certification requirements apply; benefits include health coverage and PTO.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED with state mandated certification or registration.
• Certifications/licenses/registrations as mandated by applicable state for radiography and related duties.
• Associate degree or one-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist to gain patient commitment for best possible treatment with urgency.
• Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by addressing patient needs and concerns.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful office environment for efficient, quality dental care.
• Complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures as directed by the dentist.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care as directed.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and operatory in line with ADA guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, etc.).
