The Senior Analyst/Associate role is hands-on, supporting due diligence and post-transaction performance improvement engagements.

You will analyze data, conduct interviews, own workstreams, and translate findings into executive-ready deliverables under compressed timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 3–6 years in Revenue Cycle Management or healthcare analytics.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with executive-ready analyses.
• Ability to work with large, imperfect datasets and reconcile information.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, with heavier on-site periods around go-live.

Responsibilities

• Analyze claims, AR, denials, payer and productivity data and reconcile with EHR/PM reports and GL.
• Run process discovery interviews with RCM leaders and frontline staff and validate with data.
• Own implementation workstreams from future-state design through go-live and stabilization.
• Facilitate client sessions and develop workplans, SOPs, and KPI reporting.
• Establish baselines and track benefits; report results against commitments.
• Produce executive-ready Excel workpapers and PowerPoint deliverables on tight schedules.

Our Performance Improvement (PI) Practice partners with institutional investors and healthcare organizations to drive value creation and strategic transformation initiatives across the healthcare ecosystem, including revenue optimization, operational excellence, and corporate development support.

The Senior Analyst/Associate is a hands‑on member of the RCM advisory team, supporting transaction due diligence and select post‑transaction performance improvement engagements. The role combines detailed data analysis, process discovery interviews, and client‑ready communication. Working under an Engagement Leader/Director, this individual organizes and validates disparate information, builds defensible analyses, identifies RCM risks and opportunities, and translates findings into clear executive‑level deliverables under compressed timelines.

We do revenue cycle work on both sides of a transaction: diligence before the close, and the transformation that follows it. You'd do both - build the analysis that tells a deal team what they're buying, then go back in and fix what you found.

What you’ll do

• Analyze claims, AR, denials, payer, and productivity data; reconcile it to EHR/PM reports, the GL, and quality‑of‑earnings outputs
• Run process discovery interviews with RCM leaders and frontline staff, and corroborate what you hear against the data
• Own implementation workstreams from future‑state design through go‑live and stabilization
• Facilitate client working sessions and build the workplans, SOPs, and KPI reporting that make the change stick
• Establish performance baselines and benefit tracking, and report realized results against committed value
• Produce executive‑ready Excel workpapers and PowerPoint deliverables on compressed timelines

What we’re looking for

• 4-8 years in RCM, healthcare finance and analytics, consulting, or transaction advisory
• RCM consulting or advisory experience in a professional services environment
• Real implementation experience - a workstream you owned that changed process, technology, or org structure at a provider, with results you can point to
• Working knowledge of end‑to‑end revenue cycle and the drivers of cash, AR, denials, and reimbursement
• Advanced Excel, strong PowerPoint, and comfort with large, imperfect datasets
• Willingness to travel, generally up to 50%, with heavier on‑site stretches around go‑live

Nice to have

QofE or post‑close integration experience; hands‑on Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner, MEDITECH, or athenahealth implementation work; 837/835 data; SQL or Power BI; PE‑backed or multi‑site provider environments; CRCR, CHFP, CPC, CPA, Lean Six Sigma, PMP, MHA, or MBA.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, Accounting, Health Information Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 3-6 years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management, healthcare consulting, healthcare finance, analytics, or transaction advisory or professional services experience.
• Working knowledge of end‑to‑end RCM functions and the operational drivers of cash, AR, denials, and reimbursement.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong PowerPoint capabilities, including the ability to create accurate, concise, executive‑ready analyses.
• Ability to work with large, imperfect datasets; reconcile conflicting information; and clearly document assumptions and methods.
• Ability to prepare for and facilitate structured process discovery interviews, ask effective follow‑up questions, and synthesize findings.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, professional judgment, and ability to meet compressed deadlines.
• Willingness to travel as required, generally up to 50%.
