Job description

Description

Are you the person who walks into a new client's billing environment, maps the entire system in your head before anyone else has finished their coffee, and won't leave until the architecture is right?

Since 1977, MedMan (Medical Management, Inc.) has been making a difference by connecting the business and the practice — delivering integrated management, finance, accounting, and revenue cycle services designed for independent medical practices. Our core values — Intellectual Curiosity, Grit, Accountability, Confident Humility, Positivity, and Sharing — are how we operate. If you're someone who sees the system behind the chaos, holds high standards for how work gets designed and delivered, and wants to build something that outlasts your direct involvement, we'd love to meet you.

ROLE SUMMARY

The RCM Solutions Architect is an expert who combines deep revenue cycle knowledge with the strategic and analytical horsepower to design better systems and has the credibility to make them stick. This role exists because great billing operations aren't just worked, they're architected. The Solutions Architect is deployed on new client onboarding, complex client challenges, and cross-client process improvement initiatives. They don't execute inside someone else's framework. They build the framework.

This role works closely with Client Champions, RCM Specialists, and MedMan leadership to elevate how we assess, design, onboard, and optimize client operations at scale.

Core Responsibilities
Consulting & Client Onboarding
  • Lead the assessment and design phase of new client onboarding — evaluating EMR setup, billing workflows, payer contracts, and AR health
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and structural risks in a new client's revenue cycle and build a rigorous remediation plan
  • Own the transition from "how they've been doing it" to "how MedMan does it" — including EMR cleanup, workflow architecture, and process alignment
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during onboarding and complex engagements, representing MedMan's expertise with authority and precision
Process Design & Improvement
  • Identify recurring patterns across clients and translate them into scalable, well-documented process architecture
  • Build new operational lanes — not patches — when common problems reveal a systemic gap
  • Drive post-implementation reviews and optimization cycles with a standard of continuous improvement, not just completion
  • Set the bar for what "done right" looks like; working around client constraints is not an acceptable default
Strategic Communication & Cross-Functional Influence
  • Communicate proactively with Champions and leadership — surface trends, flag structural risks, and report progress with clarity and precision
  • Translate complex findings into well-reasoned recommendations that hold up under scrutiny — from clients and internal stakeholders alike
  • Raise the analytical standard of the team through the quality of your thinking and the rigor of your documentation
  • Contribute to team discussions with insight and intellectual honesty; challenge assumptions when the data supports it
What Will Set You Apart
  • You've worked the denials — and then redesigned the system that caused them
  • You've walked into a messy EMR and built a better architecture before you left
  • Your recommendations hold up under scrutiny because your analysis does
  • You've built documentation and workflows that others still rely on long after you moved on
  • You think in systems, not cases — and you hold yourself to a higher standard than anyone else would
What Success Looks Like
  • New clients are onboarded with clean EMR architecture and documented workflows — not workarounds
  • Recurring issues across clients are solved structurally, not patched case by case
  • Champions and Specialists operate with greater clarity and confidence because of the systems this role builds
  • Clients see measurable improvement in revenue cycle performance within the first 90 days
  • MedMan's capacity to scale new client onboarding grows because this role builds the infrastructure that makes it possible
Eligibility

This is a remote position. At this time, we are only able to consider candidates who reside in states where we are currently registered as an employer, including Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Missouri, Kansas, and Michigan.
