Job summary

Virta Health is a remote-first company seeking a Collections Lead Specialist to guide a team of Collections Specialists and oversee a portion of the Tier 3 AR portfolio. You’ll act as the escalation resource for payer issues while coaching direct reports to improve performance and adherence to documentation standards.

Qualifications include 4+ years in healthcare RCM, advanced Excel, CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 knowledge, and experience with Athena or Candid Health.

Qualifications

4+ years in healthcare Revenue Cycle Management focused on collections and AR follow-up.
Experience mentoring or training billing specialists in an RCM environment.
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) for reconciliation and data cleanup.
Expert CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 coding knowledge and payer timely filing rules.
Proficiency with EHRs (Athena, Candid Health), clearinghouses and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of Collections Specialists with daily priorities and documentation standards.
Directly manage a portion of the Tier 3 AR portfolio, including payer follow-up and denial resolution.
Serve as escalation for complex denials, payer disputes, and advanced reviews.
Track AR aging and denial trends, reporting KPIs and recommending improvements.
Ensure use of productivity scorecards, templates, and auditable documentation.
