Sentara Leigh Hospital is hiring an RCIS for the Cath Lab in Norfolk, VA. Full-time Days (36 hours/week, four 9-hour shifts) with some call and a sign-on bonus is offered.

The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist supports diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures across a five-lab, hybrid OR environment, with strong emphasis on patient safety and comfort. The role requires a health science program graduate (diploma/associate/bachelor), 1 year of related experience, BLS and RCIS/RCES

Formación

• BLS and RCIS or RCES certification required.
• ACLS required within 90 days of hire.
• Graduate of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate program in health science; one year related experience required.

RCIS Cath LAB-
The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist is a health care professional that, through the utilization of specialized equipment and under the direction of a qualified physician, assists in the performance of cardiac and vascular procedures. Resulting in an accurate diagnosis and/or optimal treatment of congenital or acquired heart disease while maintaining maximum patient safety and comfort. The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist performs/reviews a baseline patient assessment, evaluates patient response to diagnostic or interventional maneuvers and medications during cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures. Provides patient care and drug administration commonly used in the cardiac catheterization laboratory as requested and under the direction of a qualified physician. The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist acts as a first assistant during diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with the following procedures: diagnostic caths, interventions, CTOs, Afib Watchman device, Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), TAVR Heart Valve Replacement, Mitra clips, Left/Right heart caths, biopsies, cardioversions, Transesophageal echo, loop recorder implants, etc. This area has five labs and a Hybrid OR.
Education: A graduate of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate academic program in health science (includes, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing). One-year related experience required.

• BLS and RCIS or RCES certification required. ACLS will be required within 90 days of hire.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $38.29 - $58.66 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
