Job summary

Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) to join a high-volume cath/EP team. You will assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, monitor real-time data, maintain sterile technique, and coordinate post-procedure care in multiple labs.

The ideal candidate has RCIS certification (or ARRT CI), BLS/ACLS, and prior cath lab experience.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent required; Trade School graduate preferred.
• RCIS or Unexpired Certification (ARRT CI) preferred; BLS and ACLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Act as first assistant to physicians during diagnostic/interventional cardiac procedures (catheterizations, angioplasties, EP studies).
• Operate and monitor advanced imaging and hemodynamic equipment.
• Ensure sterile field and data accuracy; coordinate patient prep, monitoring, documentation, and post-procedure care.
• Participate in on-call rotation and quality improvement initiatives.
