Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA seeks a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist for a full-time day shift with on-call responsibilities. The role involves assisting physicians in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, operating specialized imaging equipment, and coordinating patient care through the cath lab workflow.

Qualified candidates have RCIS certification, BLS, and ACLS within 90 days, plus approximately 1 year of CV tech experience.

Qualifications

Graduate in health science program (cardiovascular tech, ultrasound, radiologic tech, respiratory therapy, or nursing) (Required)
RCIS certification is required
BLS is required; ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
1 year experience as a Cardiovascular Technician

Responsibilities

Act as first assistant to physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures such as cardiac catheterizations and angioplasties
Operate and monitor advanced imaging/hemodynamic equipment
Maintain sterile environment and real-time patient monitoring
Document procedures and coordinate post-procedure care
Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies including STEMI activations
