Job summary

Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA is hiring a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist for a full-time day shift with on-call duties requiring a 30-minute response. The role includes assisting physicians in cardiac catheterization procedures and managing imaging/hemodynamic equipment, with complete patient care from pre- to post-procedure.

A RCIS, BLS, and ACLS within 90 days are required, with 1 year of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a diploma, associate, or bachelor-level program in health science (e.g., cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing).
• RCIS certification is required.
• BLS is required; ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures (e.g., cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, electrophysiology studies).
• Operate and monitor advanced imaging and hemodynamic equipment; maintain sterile environment.
• Provide patient preparation, real-time monitoring, procedural documentation and post-procedure coordination.
