Job summary

School District 27J seeks a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support students with autism under BCBA supervision at the Bob Sakata Education Campus. The role focuses on implementing individualized behavior plans, data collection, and collaboration with the teaching team to promote positive outcomes.

The position requires RBT certification, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, background check clearance, and strong reading/comprehension of plans.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as Behavior Intervention Plans, IEPs, and staff/student handbooks.
• Ability to collect data and simple correspondences.
• Must be able to pass a Colorado and Federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Implement IEPs and BIPs and communication supports.
• Provide direct support to students individually and in small groups under supervision.
• Use evidence-based strategies (e.g., visual supports, structured teaching, prompting, reinforcement).
• Support students with sensory regulation needs using planned strategies and tools.
• Identify and facilitate peer relationships.
• Assist with personal care needs as required.
• Collect data on student progress, behavior, and skill acquisition as directed.
• Attend training as required by Building Principal, Special Education Teacher, or Director of Special Education.
