Job summary

River Edge Behavioral Health Center in Macon, GA seeks a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) for the Specialized Transitional Home. The role supports three to four residents with individualized plans, helping them learn life skills and integrate into the community.

You will implement behavior support plans, respond to crises, collect data, and work with the treatment team to ensure consistent behavior strategies.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma.
• Requires certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
• At least 1 year of experience in behavioral health/IDD or related field.
• Good computer skills.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Implement behavior support plans developed by the Behavior Analyst to address crisis situations and challenging behaviors.
• Respond effectively to crisis situations using de-escalation techniques and behavior redirection to ensure safety.
• Collect and document behavioral data during crisis events to track progress and inform intervention planning.
• Collaborate with the Behavior Analyst, treatment team, and facility staff to coordinate crisis management approaches.
• Assist in conducting functional behavior assessments and analyzing data to identify triggers and patterns.
• Implement proactive behavior support strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce harms.
• Assist in training home staff on crisis intervention, ABA principles, and behavior management.
• Maintain accurate documentation including interventions, progress notes, and incident reports.
