Job summary

Honda Trading America Corp. in Marysville, OH seeks a Raw Materials Account Representative (Steel Supply) to manage steel procurement, coordinate logistics with mills, and ensure on-time delivery to stamping plants and Tier-1 suppliers.

You will analyze mill pricing, freight costs, and processing charges to set selling prices, lead cost-reduction projects, and maintain strong supplier relationships across the steel supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience.
• 1–2 years of purchasing, sales, or supply chain experience (steel or raw materials preferred).
• Basic understanding of cost accounting, P&L impacts, and inventory control.
• Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute steel procurement orders to ensure on-time scheduled delivery to stamping plants.
• Manage supplier commercial relationships, freight logistics, and delivery schedule tracking.
• Analyze steel mill pricing indices, freight costs, and processing charges to establish selling prices.
• Lead cost-reduction projects and inventory optimization programs in partnership with manufacturing plants.
• Address customer service inquiries and resolve supply disruptions with steel processors.

About the Role:
