Job summary

Biogen, Inc. in Dallas, TX is seeking a Field Based Family Access Manager to act as the patient-facing expert on the rare disease journey. You will liaise with Case Management, Market Access & Reimbursement, and Account Executives to resolve non-clinical barriers to therapy initiation and ongoing treatment.

The role requires strong patient advocacy, payer policy understanding, and travel up to 60%. A BS is required; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ business experience in healthcare/biotech with 3+ years field-based in account management, sales, or field reimbursement.
• Experience with physician-administered drugs (PADs)/biologics and various outpatient sites of service.
• Seasoned pharmaceutical professional with understanding of field/patient reimbursement & charitable funding.
• Experience leading cross-functionally and influencing without authority.
• Case management or patient support experience a plus.
• Familiar with regulatory environment in biotech industry.
• Strong EQ, communication, listening and empathy skills; bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
• Comfortable traveling ~60% and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Support patients and families to navigate steps to gain access to therapy, including payer policies and site coordination.
• Represent patient perspective in cross-functional meetings to maintain accurate case plans.
• Identify and help resolve patient access barriers like insurance coverage and procurement issues.
• Coordinate with Market Access & Reimbursement teams to ensure reimbursement and payer engagement.
• Provide education about Biogen patient services and disease/therapy information.
• Build relationships with local advocacy groups and patient communities to improve access.
