Job summary

Amgen Inc. in Appalachia is seeking a Rare Disease Key Account Manager focused on Endocrinology-Ocular across assigned health systems and infusion centers.

You will identify access barriers, drive account plans, and collaborate with clinical and administrative stakeholders to accelerate diagnosis and treatment. This field-based role requires strong executive communication, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining compliant processes.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree with 2+ years of sales or account management experience.
• Master’s degree with 4+ years of sales or account management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of sales or account management experience.
• Associate’s degree with 10+ years of sales or account management experience.
• High School diploma/GED with 12+ years of sales or account management experience.

Responsibilities

• Proactively assess access, operational, economic, and care-delivery barriers across assigned accounts to improve rare disease therapy utilization.
• Develop and execute account plans aligned to Amgen portfolio objectives and customer priorities.
• Build stakeholder maps and engage clinical leaders, administrators, pharmacy, finance, revenue cycle, procurement, infusion operations, and care coordinators.
• Translate account data into opportunity hypotheses, action plans, and performance reviews of sites.
• Serve as the commercial lead for contracting opportunities, coordinating internal approvals and compliant negotiations.
• Evaluate buy-and-bill workflows, optimize readiness, and coordinate education and resources across sites of care.
