Medix is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join a growing specialty pharmacy team focused on rare, orphan, and complex disease states in Pittsburgh, PA. The role blends clinical pharmacy with dispensing and requires a PharmD and PA pharmacist license, with a hybrid schedule and ~50% onsite work.

You will educate patients, support access to specialty therapies, collaborate with healthcare teams, and participate in on-call coverage and program launches.

Qualificações

• PharmD from an accredited pharmacy school.
• Active, unencumbered Pennsylvania Pharmacist license.
• Strong verbal and written communication with patients and providers.
• Ability to work rotating Monday–Friday shifts and participate in scheduled on-call responsibilities.
• Hybrid work model with approximately 50% onsite work.

Responsabilidades

• Provide specialized clinical pharmacy services and oversee dispensing for rare/complex conditions.
• Review and verify medication orders; distinguish free-drug vs commercial processing.
• Counsel patients and caregivers on medication administration and adherence.
• Handle patient calls, adverse event reports, and therapy outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate patient care.
• Assist with prior authorizations and coverage challenges to minimize delays.
• Train and supervise pharmacy technicians in order processing and fulfillment.
