Job summary

Ascendis Pharma is seeking a Rare Condition Clinical Specialist in the United States to promote rare conditions and engage in face-to-face clinical dialogue with multi-specialty healthcare professionals. You’ll drive strategies to meet sales forecasts, invest resources, and stay informed about local market dynamics and referral networks.

The role requires strong clinical acumen, 5+ years in pharmaceutical sales (preferably rare disease), and the ability to navigate complex customer environments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience; preferable rare disease and/or specialty therapeutics.
• Proven history of strong performance.
• Demonstrated high clinical acumen.

Responsibilities

• Promote the rare conditions portfolio and engage in face to face clinical dialogue with multi-specialty healthcare professionals.
• Use product knowledge and selling skills to engage in customized client discussions based on customer needs in a compliant and ethical manner.
• Drive sales performance to meet or exceed forecasts.
• Execute strategies and invest budget and resources to drive territory results.
• Maintain understanding of local market, practice structures, business models and key influencers.
• Demonstrate ability to access institutions and navigate complex referral networks.
