Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Propulsion Technician (Raptor) in Hawthorne, CA. You will assemble and test rocket hardware, read engineering drawings, and operate specialized equipment including vacuum furnaces and test cells.

Strong manual skills, a proven fabrication background, and the ability to work autonomously on schedules are essential for safety and quality. The role requires lifting up to 25 lbs, standing long hours, and willingness to work overtime on a 1st shift schedule (5:00 AM – 3:30 PM).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• 1+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• A&P license and aerospace engine experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test SpaceX propulsion hardware and sub-assemblies.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and follow detailed work instructions.
• Operate vacuum furnaces, ultrasonic immersion and test booths.
• Troubleshoot engines and cell systems; verify data from test units.
