Qualifications

• RN required with active Virginia license and BLS/CPR; ACLS required on hire
• 2 years of RN Critical Care (ICU or ER) experience, or 3 total years RN with at least 1 year in critical care
• CPR/BLS, ACLS; PALS preferred; CCCN preferred
• Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent program graduate; nursing diploma acceptable with required prerequisites

Responsibilities

• Act as clinical expert and resource to maintain and improve patient care.
• Provide clinical assistance during rapid response to codes (code blue, brain attack, rapid responses).
• Use EMR data analytics for sepsis trending and early identification of deterioration.
• Proactively rounds on patients using a 6-hour sepsis protocol to meet core measures.
• Educate staff and collaborate with nursing and provider teams to improve outcomes.
