Qualifications

• Education: Nursing degree (Bachelors or Associates) preferred; nursing program graduate required if diploma holder; HS diploma/GED required only if nursing diploma.
• Experience: 2 years of RN Critical Care (ICU or ER) experience, OR 3 total years of RN experience with at least one year in critical care as an RN (ICU or ER)
• Licenses and Certifications: RN license (Virginia) upon hire; CPR/BLS; ACLS; PALS preferred; CCCN preferred

Responsibilities

• Act as clinical expert to maintain and improve patient care.
• Provide clinical expertise during rapid responses including code blue, brain attack and rapid responses.
• Provide clinical assistance to staff and mentor on early identification of sepsis.
• Use EMR data analytics for sepsis trending and work with clinical team for early identification of sepsis or rapid response codes.
