Job summary

The Rapid Response Team Nurse (RRT) at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA coordinates rapid response activity under the Critical Care Nurse Manager, assesses patients, prioritizes needs and collaborates with the Provider and Respiratory Therapist to prevent deterioration.

The RRT RN documents interventions and outcomes, communicates with the team, and serves as a resource to staff, physicians, patients and families.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1+ years critical care or ER nursing experience required.
• Charge Nurse or MET team experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Georgia required.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• PALS, NIHSS, and Georgia Stroke Curriculum within 6 months of hire required.
• TCAR preferred.
• TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• ASSESSMENT and nursing diagnosis based on ongoing data collection.
• DOCUMENTATION of interventions and outcomes in timely fashion.
• Develops outcomes and plan with involvement of patient and family.
• RN leadership: coordinate care across setting and team members.
• RN quality: apply quality improvement to nursing practice.
• Surveillance rounds and sepsis-related monitoring and reporting.
