SYNERGY Home Care of Cape Fear is seeking a Rapid Response Care Professional to fill urgent, last-minute client coverage needs on an on-call basis. The role focuses on continuity of care, reliability, and adaptability across diverse care environments.

Compensation includes a flat-rate stipend for availability and an hourly rate when activated to work a shift, with time-and-a-half for overtime and holidays. Training and orientation are provided to suitable candidates.

• Must be 18 years or older.
• No experience required; training provided.
• Must pass a background check.
• Lawfully authorized to work in the U.S.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and auto insurance

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and non-medical support.
• Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Remind and assist with medications as needed.
• Establish professional communication with clients, families, and coworkers.
• Be punctual and consistently cover assigned shifts; perform other duties as needed

Overview

The Rapid Response Care Professional is an on-call team member responsible for supporting urgent and last-minute client coverage needs. This role ensures continuity of care by filling schedule gaps due to call-offs, emergencies, or unexpected changes.

Team members are scheduled for designated on-call periods and receive a flat-rate stipend for availability, along with an hourly rate when activated to work a shift. Assignments may vary and require flexibility, quick response times, and the ability to adapt to different clients and care environments.

This role is ideal for dependable, experienced caregivers who are responsive, adaptable, and committed to maintaining high-quality care in time-sensitive situations.

Qualifications:

• Ages 18+

• No experience is required. Willing to train the right candidate.

• Must be able to pass a background check

• Lawfully authorized to work in the U.S.

• Must have reliable transportation (valid driver's license and auto insurance will be requested)
