Job summary

AMR in DeKalb County, Georgia is hiring Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians (AEMTs) to respond to both emergency and non-emergency medical requests and deliver high-quality care, treatment and customer service.

You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, document findings, operate ambulance equipment, and collaborate with public safety teams while adhering to HIPAA and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school diploma or GED, State AEMT License, State Driver’s License.
• BLS certification and NREMT are required or preferred.
• Experience in healthcare settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, vital signs, and medical history to determine interventions.
• Document all patient information, assessments, treatments, and outcomes per HIPAA requirements.
• Maintain ambulance and equipment readiness through pre-shift checks and restocking supplies.
• Use AEMT skills to provide care and communicate with patients and team.
• Operate ambulances in compliance with safety policies and traffic laws.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
