Job summary

Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless in Rockville, MD seeks a Case Manager for the Rapid Rehousing Program. The role delivers field and office client services, conducts housing searches, maintains caseload documentation, and helps participants achieve self-sufficiency and stable housing.

Responsibilities include assessing housing barriers, developing plans, advocating with landlords, coordinating with employment services, and ensuring timely reporting and file maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services preferred or a minimum of a two-year degree in related services and three years related experience.
• Excellent communication, listening, mediation, and writing skills.
• Knowledge of tenant rights and “strengths based” case management.
• Fluency in English; Spanish is an added asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess housing barriers of individuals experiencing homelessness to determine needs.
• Develop a housing procurement, financial, and self-sufficiency plan with clients.
• Provide mediation and advocacy with landlords to obtain and maintain housing.
• Assist participants in locating and securing housing of their choice.
• Assist participants in securing and maintaining employment and coordinating with employment services.
• Maintain clear communication between tenants, landlords, referrals, and agencies.
• Complete monthly and annual program reports and maintain files.
