Job summary

LAIKA, based in Hillsboro, OR, seeks a Rapid Prototype Production Supervisor to oversee schedules and day-to-day operations of a team of artists and production staff in the RP Department. You will maintain project timelines, track progress, and ensure adequate coverage to meet milestones.

Lead collaborations with RP leadership to optimize staffing and resources, document developments, and support clear handoffs across departments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in a production management role in feature films; stop motion experience a plus.
• 1+ years' experience managing a team of artists.
• Ability to plan, schedule, and monitor R&D and build progress across multiple interdependent departments.
• Extensive experience with asset management databases and scheduling tools (Flow PT/ShotGrid, Consilium).
• Proven project management experience with MS Project and Excel, or similar packages.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently; strong attention to detail and communication.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain RP build schedules and team priority lists with updates on bids vs. actuals.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure asset deliverables progress is tracked and communicated.
• Inform staffing and resource needs with RP leadership; adjust priorities as needed.
• Provide daily priorities and schedule expectations; reinforce milestones with staff and artists.
• Ensure progress notes are captured in production reports and Flow PT.
• Train and supervise RP production staff, providing workflows and growth opportunities.
• Provide coverage in absence of RP Production Manager and staff; manage shifting priorities.
