Job summary

RTX's Pratt & Whitney division seeks a capable leader to head the Rapid Prototype Casting Laboratory (RPCL) operations. You will guide the full operations team, drive safety, quality, and cost improvements, and align staffing with capacity goals across manufacturing cells.

You will champion continuous improvement and EH&S initiatives, coordinating with shop supervision, scheduling, and engineering to deliver high-performance castings for turbine engines in a secure, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in operations, manufacturing, operations or related field and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
• U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operations organization of the RPCL, including a shop supervisor and bargaining unit employees.
• Manage resources and requirements across manufacturing cells.
• Establish operations schedules considering customer requirements and priorities.
• Manage projects including capital equipment installations and lead continuous improvement efforts.
• Develop headcount plans to meet capacity needs and recruit accordingly.
• Enforce standardized operations practices and tools for the operations cells.
• Manage time accounting to meet program cost targets and overhead budgets.
• Drive lean principles to meet business targets.
