Job summary

Hansen Ag Placement in South Dakota is seeking a Ranch Assistant to support daily operations across a diversified cattle and crop enterprise. You will operate feed wagons, assist with feeding, cattle health monitoring, and basic ranch tasks in a family-run setting.

This role is ideal for someone with strong feedlot experience who wants a long-term position with growth potential. You will work directly with the owners, have housing options, and a chance to contribute to an expanding operation in

Qualifications

• Feedlot and cattle handling experience required.
• Ability to run feed equipment independently.
• Comfortable driving trucks and operating machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operate feed wagon (NDE mixers, Case IH tractors).
• Daily feeding and monitoring of cattle health and performance.
• Sorting, processing, and handling livestock.
• Drive trucks (non-CDL) for hauling feed, hay, manure, and materials.
• Maintain feedlot pens: scraping and manure handling.
