Qualifications

• Solid cattle/feedlot background.
• Strong animal-health skills to spot, diagnose and treat sick cattle.
• Experience feeding cattle preferred.
• Good mechanical aptitude for maintenance and repairs.
• Able to operate loaders, skid steers and feedlot equipment.
• Good work ethic and a positive attitude.
• Self-starter who can work independently.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operation of the feedlot.
• Feed and monitor cattle daily.
• Identify, diagnose, and appropriately treat sick cattle.
• Assist with processing and working cattle.
• Help load cattle when shipments are scheduled.
• Operate loaders, skid steers, feed equipment, and other machinery.
• Assist with wet-corn grinding and feed-related equipment.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and general repairs.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-kept feedlot and shop.
• Be flexible and willing to help wherever needed.
