Job summary

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking a Feedyard and Crop Production Employee to join a progressive Nebraska cattle operation. You will perform day-to-day feedyard tasks, assist with cattle feeding, monitor cattle health, and support crop-production activities across thousands of acres.

The ideal candidate has strong agricultural experience, a solid work ethic, and the ability to operate tractors, loaders, and trucks.

Qualifications

Previous agricultural experience.
Strong work ethic and dependable work history.
Experience working around cattle or other livestock.
Ability to safely operate agricultural equipment.
Ability to work independently.
Good communication skills.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Assist with day-to-day feedyard operations.
Learn and participate in cattle feeding responsibilities.
Monitor cattle and identify cattle requiring extra attention.
Assist with animal health and cattle-care responsibilities.
Monitor cattle performance and production information.
Oversee employees involved in cattle and feeding responsibilities.
Ensure employees complete their responsibilities properly.
Operate tractors, loaders, trucks and other agricultural equipment.
Perform routine equipment maintenance and general repairs.
Participate in planting, spraying, harvesting and other crop-production activities.
Assist with silage and haylage production.
Support approximately 6,000 acres of crop production.
Coordinate with management to keep cattle, equipment and crop operations moving efficiently.
Perform other duties in a diversified cattle and farming operation.
